{"id":10364,"date":"2023-12-30T04:47:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-30T04:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=10364"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:32:44","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:32:44","slug":"to-have-and-to-hold","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=10364","title":{"rendered":"TO HAVE AND TO HOLD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another major take away from 2023:<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Author David Allen says, &#8220;Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After nearly three years of daily writing, I can attest to this truth.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like you, I often have profound insights concerning life, work, faith, or relationships while in the shower.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How often do they remain past stepping onto the rug to grab a towel?<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><i>Holding<\/i>\u00a0ideas requires writing them down.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now that I am daily on the lookout for writing material, I do a better job of capturing my thoughts and ideas &#8211; so I can get some use out of them. And that has been a game-changer for life.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ideas which once were fleeting, are now preserved.
