{"id":10898,"date":"2021-12-29T03:36:00","date_gmt":"2021-12-29T03:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=10898"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:34:37","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:34:37","slug":"lessons-learned","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=10898","title":{"rendered":"LESSONS LEARNED"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am still a few days short of completing my year of writing and publishing SOMETHING on this blog daily, but it is safe to assume I will successfully reach the finish line on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So I want to begin reflecting on what I have learned:<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1) I am more opinionated than I realized.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2) Whether anyone else reads my words, writing daily has been a great benefit for ME, by helping to clarify my thinking.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3) Publishing here has been an important part of the habit. It forces me to complete my thoughts and to edit them.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4) I never experience &#8220;writer&#8217;s block&#8221;.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5) Possible topics pop into my head randomly throughout the day, but if I don&#8217;t immediately write an idea down, it is lost within minutes.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6) My best editing decisions involve deleting words, sentences, or entire paragraphs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now that it has become habit, I believe I will continue daily writing into the new year.
