Thanks to the efforts of my (self-proclaimed) favorite child – Samuel, my blog has a new home and an updated look.

And a more straightforward web address: stevegrossblog.com.

We are hoping this format will be easier to navigate AND, importantly, make it easier for anyone to leave a comment.

I would truly welcome pushback on the ideas I explore on my blog. I do not make any claims to be infallible about any particular topic, especially when it comes to theology. I hope that even when I am 90 years old that God’s word will continue to surprise and challenge my view of my self, my God and the realities of life. I would consider it to be blatant arrogance to imagine I have it all figured out.

So commenting would be very helpful to me. And it seems that making comments on any of my old Blogspot posts was fairly cumbersome. Or maybe readers just always agree with me and have nothing to add!

Could be.

But I doubt it.

So … since Samuel went to the effort to migrate all my old posts over to this new site, I guess I better start writing again regularly. I might need to lean on him to resolve any kinks we run into along the way.

In the real world, I am wrapping up a sermon series on the Beatitudes. I have found much to consider … and re-consider.

So tomorrow’s post will likely be related in some way to the opening lines of Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount.
