{"id":3648,"date":"2021-09-23T10:09:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T10:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=3648"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:34:38","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:34:38","slug":"back-to-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=3648","title":{"rendered":"BACK TO SCHOOL"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s official.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I received word today that I have been accepted into the doctorate of ministry program at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m going back to school!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I will start in October. Each six months will bring two classes with a one week intensive on campus. That will continue for the first two years and then the third year will be devoted to my dissertation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other than those few facts, I have NO IDEA what I am getting myself into.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ve been planning this since early June and just finished my application last week. And to be honest, all along I have felt somewhat ambivalent about this prospect.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So I was greatly relieved at my own reaction today when I got my acceptance letter and it became real: it was pure joy and excitement.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And a tiny bit of fear.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I guess I better get shopping for school supplies&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s official.
