{"id":4084,"date":"2024-07-17T03:03:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-17T03:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=4084"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:32:23","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:32:23","slug":"48-hours-to-celebrate-24-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=4084","title":{"rendered":"48 HOURS TO CELEBRATE 24 YEARS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I consciously took last night off from writing &#8211; the first time in at least 6 months &#8211; for the sake of uninterrupted time with my wife.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday marked the 24th anniversary of the day Melissa and I stood before friends and family and God and pledged to stay with each other for better or worse.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There&#8217;s no doubt we&#8217;ve been blessed with quite a bit of &#8220;better&#8221; and very little &#8220;worse&#8221;.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So even though the timing was far from perfect (being in the midst of a dozen home projects under the pressure of summer days quickly passing), the two of us packed a bag, jumped into Sarah&#8217;s convertible (while she&#8217;s away at camp), and drove an hour south to Madison, Indiana, on the Ohio River.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s a beautiful little historic town and one of our favorite places for a day trip.
