These two got engaged on their first trip to Haiti and married soon after.\u00a0But the honeymoon isn&#8217;t over yet.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/20180329_155354-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1173\" height=\"879\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/20180330_111317-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As far as new adventures go, we started out their week with a trip to Fort Picolet, a structure from the early 1800s along the coast just past Cap Haitien. It&#8217;s a site I&#8217;ve been wanting to visit for a long time now. John Adams, our friend and co-worker, acted as guide and Samuel and Sarah were game to tag along.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/20180329_153900-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patti practiced her listening skills during a break at the base of a neglected and forgotten lighthouse.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the inside of the lighthouse, a spiral staircase has rusted away, leaving the structure looking like some sort of alien spacecraft.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/20180329_160049-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/20180331_083921-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The kids really enjoyed making bracelets, playing soccer and searching for Easter eggs &#8211; a first for these guys and gals.
