{"id":4625,"date":"2024-08-30T03:50:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-30T03:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=4625"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:31:58","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:31:58","slug":"brain-and-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=4625","title":{"rendered":"BRAIN AND GOD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don&#8217;t have much to say tonight after driving a U-Haul truck several hundred miles and now anticipating less than a restful sleep at a cheap hotel in Columbia, South Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I only have two and a half hours to finish in the morning so I will be anxious to get moving in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was re-listening to a long lecture by John Lennox on Abraham over the last few hours. (You can find the video on YouTube.) It&#8217;s excellent.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lennox talks on Abraham for 2.5 hours and hits lots of mini-lessons along the way.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About an hour in, he said something that I wanted to record here so that it has a better chance of sticking with me in the future:<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Modern Christians tend to trust their brain and use God when we should be trusting God and using our brains.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">True enough!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t have much to say tonight after driving a U-Haul truck several hundred miles and now anticipating less than a restful sleep at a cheap hotel in Columbia, South Carolina.
