Monday is a Haitian holiday.\u00a0 AND we passed the three month mark this past week.\u00a0 Is that enough excuse to spend a Saturday at the beach?\u00a0 YES.We got the opportunity yesterday to explore an unfamiliar beach &#8211; Dhaloo.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a bit past Cormier Plage, where we have typically gone.\u00a0 And it&#8217;s just a smidgen past Labadie, where Royal Caribbean has its Haitian playground.Part of the fun is that the final leg of the journey requires a water taxi.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/20131116_101629-2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The landing point at Dhaloo:<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/20131116_102246-3.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Boat repair on the beach:<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/20131116_103443-2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bundy kids were excited to show our kids around.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/20131116_104834-2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A short walk\u00a0from the restaurant and beach chairs area, there is a quiet, secluded beach with wonderful sand for digging in.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/20131116_111543-2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And relaxing with friends.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the walk between the two beaches is just far enough up a flight of stone steps to give some fantastic views of the surrounding area.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lunch was served around 12:30.\u00a0 Our family sat down with the Bundys and several visiting short term missions folks.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Great Haitian food &#8230; and lots of it.\u00a0 I had the fish.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/20131116_122356-2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the fish was FRESH.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Samuel slowed down for just a few minutes after lunch &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230; but for the most part the kids were going, going, going the whole day.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/20131116_145604-2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And into the late afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And by the end of the day, the adults were relaxed and the kids were exhausted.\u00a0 But EVERYBODY was happy.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the beauty of the earth, <br> for the glory of the skies, <br> for the love which from our birth <br> over and around us lies;
