(Even above Scripture, some would argue. \ud83d\ude0f )\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With that in mind, check out what <i>Westminster <\/i>says about infants:<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Elect infants, dying in infancy, are regenerated, and saved by Christ, through the Spirit, who works when, and where, and how He pleases: so also are all other elect persons who are incapable of being outwardly called by the ministry of the Word.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In other words, just like the rest of the population, some among infants belong to the elect, and many are among the non-elect. Elect babies who are aborted or stillborn are saved by Christ and gain eternal life.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BUT what about the non-elect infants?<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They go on to eternal conscious torment.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seems like kind of a raw deal to me.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Fortunately, you do not find this teaching in Scripture &#8211; so don&#8217;t feel guilty if you don&#8217;t agree with <i>Westminster<\/i>.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Remember, The Westminster Confession of Faith is THE guiding document of Calvinism.
