{"id":5115,"date":"2024-07-29T02:28:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-29T02:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=5115"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:32:23","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:32:23","slug":"the-bow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=5115","title":{"rendered":"THE BOW"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maybe you already knew this, but as I studied the Noah story this past week, I was surprised to find that the text does not say God put a rainbow in the sky as part of His promise to never destroy humanity again.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The word that is used is simply &#8220;bow&#8221; &#8211; as in &#8220;bow and arrow&#8221; and\u00a0it denotes a weapon for hunting, destruction, or warfare.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So God hangs His weapon up, in the heavens, and pledges to never unleash the floodwaters again.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But when God does this, nothing has changed in the human heart!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This begs the question:<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So what IS the plan going forward? How will God and humanity coexist?
