{"id":5534,"date":"2021-05-21T02:15:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-21T02:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=5534"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:35:01","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:35:01","slug":"theres-a-chance-i-am-wrong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=5534","title":{"rendered":"THERE&#8217;S A CHANCE I AM WRONG"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;<i>Progress is impossible without change; and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.<\/i>&#8221; &#8211; George Bernard Shaw<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am very willing to admit I might be wrong.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It occurred to me long ago that chances are mighty slim that I am 100% correct in all my beliefs and opinions &#8211; my judgments about politics, theology, entertainment, as well as the character of friends, coworkers, and enemies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, believe me, it sure FEELS like I am right about absolutely everything I believe, but everyone else feels the exact same way, even people who hold beliefs that are diametrically opposed to my own.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What if I have a friend who is an avowed atheist?
