But Jesus gave His life on the cross to win God&#8217;s forgiveness for you. If you will admit you are a sinner and put your faith in Christ, when you die, you will have eternal life in heaven.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The liberal churches say, &#8220;God is love and He loves sinners like you. He has a good plan for your life. So put your faith in Him and He will help you actualize your best self.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I believe the foundations of the gospel are found in Genesis1, 2, and 3. A proper understanding of what is going on in these opening chapters of the Bible &#8211; and how God addresses the problems created by humanity &#8211; will help the believer see the grains of truth in both sides of the American gospel.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While avoiding the dross of both.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(And filling in the missing parts.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The gospel presentation of the modern American church tends to go one of two directions.
