Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples<\/b><\/i>. (9:1)<\/p>\n\n\n
In Damascus there was a disciple <\/b>named Ananias.<\/i> (9:10)<\/p>\n\n\n
A disciple <\/b>named Tabitha<\/i>. (9:36)<\/p>\n\n\n
A disciple <\/b>named Timothy.<\/i> (16:1)<\/p>\n\n\n
The disciples <\/b>were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.<\/i> (13:52)<\/p>\n\n\n
The disciples <\/b>would not allow Paul to appear before the crowd. <\/i>(19:30)<\/p>\n\n\n
And 16 of the 26 come after this particular reference:<\/p>\n\n\n

The word “Christian” only appears here and one other time in Acts (26:28) and once in 1 Peter (4:16).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
So … a couple of questions: Why do we in modern times refer to ourselves almost exclusively as “Christians” and so seldom as “disciples”?<\/p>\n\n\n
