{"id":7746,"date":"2024-05-05T04:12:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-05T04:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=7746"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:32:25","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:32:25","slug":"another-college-grad-in-the-family","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=7746","title":{"rendered":"ANOTHER COLLEGE GRAD IN THE FAMILY"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today was the first of two college graduations for our family this May.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First up: Samuel&#8217;s graduation from Ball State University. Next Saturday: Hannah&#8217;s graduation from Olivet.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Melissa and I arrived in Muncie this morning a little after 9 with Hannah, Sarah, and Grandma Trudy in tow.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ball State does a large group ceremony outside on the Quad in the morning with a commencement speaker but no distribution of diplomas.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those are given at separate ceremonies throughout the day. I am writing this while waiting for Sam to walk the stage &#8211; among a &#8220;smaller&#8221; group of 700 graduates.
