The article reminds us that \u201cpeople tend to be\u00a0<strong>irrationally <\/strong>risk averse\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It seems to me that when it comes to taking some calculated risks &#8211; as in all aspects of life &#8211; our faith\u00a0<em>should\u00a0<\/em>make more than a\u00a0<em>slight\u00a0<\/em>difference!<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We definitely find\u00a0encouragement towards great boldness and courage\u00a0in the pages of\u00a0Scripture. Here are a couple of good reminders:<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joshua 1:9\u00a0<em>Have I not commanded you?\u00a0<strong>Be strong and courageous.<\/strong>\u00a0Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your\u00a0<strong>God will be with you<\/strong>\u00a0wherever you go.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Psalm 27:1\u00a0<em>The Lord is my light and my salvation\u2014so\u00a0<strong>why should I be afraid<\/strong>? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daniel 10:19\u00a0<em>\u201cDon\u2019t be afraid,\u201d he said, \u201cfor you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged!
