{"id":8470,"date":"2011-02-06T02:07:00","date_gmt":"2011-02-06T02:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=8470"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:36:25","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:36:25","slug":"day-86-vintage-star-wars-posters-give","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=8470","title":{"rendered":"Day 86 &#8211; Vintage Star Wars Posters (Give)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At first I was going to let my kids enjoy these posters for a while before tossing them out, but then I got to thinking &#8211; it doesn&#8217;t look good to have a bunch of ancient posters taped to the walls when you&#8217;re staging a house to sell.\u00a0 (Not that we&#8217;ve had anyone yet express interest in seeing the house!) Then\u00a0it occurred to me that I have a mega-Star Wars fan among my students this year.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s just call him Obi Wan for our purposes here.\u00a0 Well, Obi Wan loves all things Star Wars &#8211; he will actually blurt out random Star Wars quotes in class.\u00a0 Which is amusing. Here is the only problem:\u00a0 his love for Star Wars\u00a0includes all six movies.\u00a0 As if they are on equal footing!\u00a0 I cannot allow such wrongheaded opinion to stand unchallenged!\u00a0\u00a0Obi Wan and I\u00a0have had numerous debates about the worthiness of Episodes 1, 2 and 3 &#8211; and, I am proud to say, I have made some headway.
