{"id":9383,"date":"2021-05-14T01:29:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-14T01:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=9383"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:35:01","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:35:01","slug":"broken-streak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=9383","title":{"rendered":"BROKEN STREAK"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I accidentally broke my streak last night, but only because I forgot to hit the &#8220;Publish&#8221; button when I finished writing. Every night since January 1st I have written and posted something here. (Though sometimes it was after midnight.)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Early on, I worried that if I ever broke my streak, it might dishearten me from continuing. But at this point the writing is a daily habit and one I enjoy AND find personally useful.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My decision to write daily wasn&#8217;t a New Year&#8217;s Resolution. It was something I simply determined to make a part of what I am considering the third stage of my career.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stage One was Youth Pastor.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stage Two was English Teacher, eventually at a Christian school.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And Stage Three is &#8230;\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don&#8217;t exactly know yet.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But here is what I do know: I started out after college as a Minister. Then I became a Minister AND a Teacher. Now I think I am supposed to be a Minister and a Teacher and an Artist.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the Lord has yet to reveal how those three aspects of my self are to be combined now.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or to what end.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So I keep praying.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I accidentally broke my streak last night, but only because I forgot to hit the &#8220;Publish&#8221; button when I finished writing.
