{"id":9738,"date":"2023-01-07T01:29:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-07T01:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=9738"},"modified":"2026-10-02T01:33:46","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T01:33:46","slug":"looking-forward","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stevegrossblog.com\/?p=9738","title":{"rendered":"LOOKING FORWARD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[Forgot to hit &#8220;Publish&#8221; on this last night while we were on the road back to Indiana.]<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even as I have been enjoying great fellowship and learning with my classmates and professors in my classes this week, one eye has been looking backward.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have been feeling a bit discouraged this week regarding my ability to raise sufficient funds to stay in ministry with Mission Resource.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This morning I opened my Bible and read the first verse of 2nd Corinthians, chapter 4:<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Therefore, since through God&#8217;s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I LOVE being &#8220;in ministry&#8221;. It is not a burden &#8211; it is evidence of God&#8217;s mercy to me.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And those words of encouragement were all I needed to snap out of my moment of self doubt and keep looking forward.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I write, classes have ended and I am on the road back to Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next week is a new week back at Mission Resource.
